Zoe is a friendly provisional psychologist who is motivated by an innate passion to care for others. She understands that the most important part of therapy is establishing a good relationship. Zoe is committed to creating a relaxed, supportive, and non-judgmental sanctuary for clients to explore their feelings and their past to overcome barriers preventing them from living their best life. Zoe brings extensive professional history, life experience, and studies to her sessions. She understands that like life, therapy can be hard. During a session with Zoe, you can expect to feel safe and understood.
Zoe began her career with a specialist interest in Health Psychology that stemmed from years of working in the disability and research sector. Zoe continues to explore the relationship between mental health and sleep, nutrition, exercise, and other behaviours, like substance use and smoking. Zoe has a special interest in working with children, adolescents, and adult clients who present with trauma, eating disorders, maternal mental health concerns, sleep disturbances, and personality disorders.
Zoe’s approach to treatment is dynamic and client centred. Zoe combines evidence-based interventions in collaboration with her clients to find what works for them. Such treatments include Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy (NT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy (ST) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Zoe currently maintains a provisional registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health and Practitioner Regulation Agency. Her services do not require a mental health care plan from a general practitioner.
